Angeles - Table Mountain
Located just a few miles outside of the Los Angeles metro area,
the Angeles National Forest is the desert playground of the city. Vegetation ranges from
chaparral and oak
at lower elevations to pine at higher altitudes. Campers come here to explore hundreds of miles of trails
on foot, horseback, or using ATV's. They also come to swim, boat, and fish in the scattered lakes.

Table Mountain Campground is located 3 miles from Wrightwood at an elevation
of 7200 feet. The campground is on Table Mountain Road, one mile from Big Pines, CA. Table Mountain Road is a paved
two-lane road, easily accessible by most vehicles. From I-15 near Cajon, take Highway 138 west. Turn left
(west) on Angeles Crest Highway and drive 5 miles to Wrightwood. Continue for 3 miles to Big Pines. Turn
right on Table Mountain Rd. and drive 1 mile to the campground.
Set in a hilly, oak and pine setting with a large meadow, this campground has 115 single camp sites, 4
double campsites, and 1 group site. Campers come here to mountain bike, hike, fish, and relax in the shade.
Amenities include paved roads, pit and flush toilets, drinking water, fire rings, picnic tables, a large
amphitheater, hiking and nature trails.
Fees are $15 /night for a single site with up to 8 people and 2 vehicles, $30 /night for a double site
with up to 16 people and 4 vehicles, and $60 for the group site with up to 32 people and 8 vehicles. There
is a $7.50 picnicking or day use fee.

Jackson Flats Campground is located 8 miles west of Wrightwood on State Hwy 2
at an elevation of 7500 feet. This campground accommodates only walk-in tent campers. Parking is limited and
carpooling is recommended. Reservations are required.
Set in a ponderosa pine woods on Jackson Lake, this campground has 5 large group sites.
Amenities include paved roads, drinking water, flush toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables.
An observation deck and two nature trails are located within the campground. A trail to
Jackson Lake leads from the campground for those who prefer a lengthier hike.
Group sites 1,2 and 3 will hold up to 40 people. Group sites 4 and 5 will hold up to 30 people.
Fees are $115 /night for sites 1,2, or 3, and $95 /night for sites 4 or 5.

Mountain Oak Campground is located 8 miles from Wrightwood near Jackson Lake.
To get there from I-15 near Cajon, take Highway 138 west. Turn left (west) on Angeles Crest Highway and
drive 5 miles to Wrightwood. Continue for 3 miles to Big Pines. Turn right on Table Mountain Rd. and drive
3 miles to the campground.
Set in an oak and sugar pine forest, this campground has 17 sites. Campers come here to hike, fish and
boat.
Amenities include drinking water, fire pits, tables, bear boxes and flush toilets. Firewood is available
for sale on site. There are hiking and nature trails in the area.
Fees are $13 /night for a single site with up to 8 people and 2 vehicles.

Lake Campground is located 5 1/2 miles from Wrightwood, at an elevation of 6100
feet. Located on Big Pines Highway (County Rd. N4) 2.5 miles west of Big Pines, CA. To get there from I-15
near Cajon, take Highway 138 west. Turn left (west) on Angeles Crest Highway and drive 5 miles to Wrightwood.
Continue for 3 miles to Big Pines. Turn right on Table Mountain Rd. and drive 2.5 miles to the campground.
This secluded campground is set on Jackson Lake, scattered with oak trees for shade, and has 8 campsites.
Campers come here to fish, hike, boat, and swim.
Amenities include paved roads, drinking water, vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, barbecue grills,
and nature trails.
Fees are $13 /night for a single site with up to 8 people and 2 vehicles.
