Wasatch-Cache - Bountiful

Summer or winter, if you're looking for a beautiful place to get away from the city and play in Utah, the Wasatch-Cache National Forest is it. Comprised of beautiful canyons, soaring peaks, pristine hidden lakes, rivers and streams, the views will take your breath away. The Wasatch-Cache is also home to some of the world's premier ski areas. Fishermen enjoy the trout-stocked rivers and streams. Campers come here from across the country to hike, mountain bike, ride horses, boat, swim, ski, sled, and enjoy the natural beauty of these rugged mountains.

American Land & Leisure currently runs nine facilities in the Bountiful area.

The area managers for the Bountiful Area live at and care for Mueller Park Campground. Located five miles from Bountiful, this campground has an elevation of 5400 feet. Set in a large meadow along a stream, it has 19 single sites and 3 group sites. Campers come here to hike and visit nearby amusement parks. Full hookups are available. This is a salaried position. Mueller Park Campground is open from the beginning of May to the middle of October.

Bountiful Peak Campground is located 9 miles from Bountiful at an elevation of 7500 feet. Set in a conifer forest with views of the Great Salt Lake, this campground has 40 sites. Campers come here to fish, hike, bike, and hunt. The host at this campground also cares for Sunset campground, 9 miles away. Sunset has 11 camp sites. Water and sewer hookups are available. Hours are 30 hours per week per couple during the regular season and 40 hours per week per couple during the peak season. These campgrounds are open from early July to early September.

The Stansbury Mountain campgrounds are located 5 miles from Grantsville at an elevation of 6080 feet. Set in a remote high mountain desert canyon, this chain of 6 small campgrounds has a total of 33 sites stretched out over a mile of road. South Willow Campground has 2 campsites. Boy Scout Camp has 5 single sites. Intake Campground has 4 sites. Loop Campground has 9 sites. Lower Narrows Campground has 5 sites. Upper Narrows has 8 sites. The host site is located at the USFS Guard Station. Water and sewer hookups are available. Hours are 30 hours per week per couple and 40 hours per week per couple during the peak season. The campgrounds open at the beginning of May and close mid-October, barring snow.
