Toiyabe - Carson
Encompassing all of the National Forest lands in Nevada as well
as those in a small portion of Eastern California, the Humboldt - Toiyabe is the largest national forest in the
lower 48. American Land & Leisure currently runs facilities in three ranger districts in this forest:
the Carson, Bridgeport, and Spring Mountain Ranger Districts.
The Carson Ranger District is located just east of Lake Tahoe, and straddles the California/Nevada state
line from just above Reno in the north to 25 miles above Yosemite in the south. Extending 84 miles into
California's Alpine Country, the Carson Ranger district includes scenic areas such as the Carson-Iceberg
Wilderness, the Mokelumne Wilderness, and the Mt. Rose Wilderness. |
