The Pineview maintenance person lives at Cemetery Point Day Use Area. His or her duties include maintaining the facilities at Cemetery Point, several smaller day use areas around the lake, helping with the docks at Port Marina and other duties as needed. The maintenance at Cemetery Point includes the supervision of teenaged seasonal workers who help with all maintenance duties as directed. The beach, parking areas and picnic areas at Cemetery Point have 7 vault toilets, which need to be cleaned at least 3 times a day on weekends and holidays. The large grassy areas need to be policed for trash, mowed, and weed whacked. Mowing these areas is an all day job for 2 people. Trees need to be trimmed. Trash cans at the beach and boat launch areas must be emptied. The lawns must be irrigated using a sprinkler system. The maintenance person also makes a circuit of 15 small day use areas twice a week. He or she cleans 7 vault toilets, picks up trash, mows, weed-eats, trims, and empties trash cans. At peak times this must be done 3 times a week. There is no water around the lake, so it must be carried in the truck. Other duties can include helping direct traffic on holidays and busy weekends, maintaining all power equipment, and occasionally helping in the fee booth. Hours are 40 hours per week.

Port Marina is located about 10 miles from Huntsville on the Western side of Pineview Reservoir. This boat launch and marina is cared for by three host couples. Full hookups are available.
