These recreation areas, on Lewis Smith Lake near Double Springs, are just an hour and a half from Birmingham.  Lush forests on this 3-fingered lake provide the perfect habitat for diverse wildlife. This clear, blue, lake produced Alabama's record spotted bass (8' 15oz) and monster striped bass in the 40+ lb range.  Campers enjoy local features like a natural bridge (longest east of the Rockies) and Civil War sites nearby.

Corinth Recreation Area

Corinth Campground caters to the RV'er with full hookup sites and there is a spur for tents only.  It is the perfect location for water sports, an afternoon picnic, or a relaxing escape for the weekend.  Bring a friend, your family, or the whole gang.  There are day-use and overnight facilities for individuals and groups.

Clear Creek Recreation Area

Clear Creek is the largest recreation area on Lake Lewis Smith.  You're sure to find what you are looking for here.  Day-use visitors and campers have access to a boat ramp and swim beach. The lake provides excellent fishing for Kentucky Spotted Bass and Hybrid Striped Bass.
