ELDORADO NATIONAL FOREST

Georgetown Ranger District

Georgetown Ranger District is packed with a variety of outdoor recreation for Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay area.  Hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and rock-hounding are just the beginning of the fun that can be found in the northern part of the Eldorado National Forest.

Stumpy Meadows

Stumpy Meadows Campground is located about 17 miles east of Georgetown on Route 63, next to the clear, cold waters of the Stumpy Meadows Reservoir.  The campground is situated in a conifer forest, with access to bike trails and great Rainbow and German Brown trout fishing.   A boat ramp provides access to the reservoir.
