The campground is located on the shores of Loon Lake, about 30 miles north of Riverton on Primary Forest Route 3. At an elevation of 6500 feet, the cold, crystal clear waters of the reservoir are great for fishing, swimming and boating. Local trails leading to the Desolation Wilderness Area are frequented by hikers and horseback riders.
