One host couple manages Cape Perpetua Campground. The campground is very popular with hikers. It is centrally located in the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. The tidepools in the Marine Gardens are a moderate hike away.
There are 4 flush restrooms (10 toilets) and almost all campsites are next to the small creek. It is heavily wooded with giant Sitka Spruce and Douglas Fir. There is no view of the ocean from the campground but you can hear it. The campground is about 100 feet above sea level; just enough to be out of the fog that can be common in the summer months. Proximity to the ocean keeps Cape Perpetua at moderate temps - rarely reaching the upper 80's.
The small village of Yachats is about 2 miles north, where you'll find limited groceries, propane and fuel but a great variety of fine dining. Florence is about 20 miles to the south and has a great selection of full-size grocery/discount stores and fuel stations; not to mention great dining.
Depending on staffing, the Area Managers may position a rover in the 2nd full hookup site in Cape Perpetua. The rover may be responsible for caring for Cape Perpetua and Tillicum campgrounds on their host's days off. They may also be assigned mowing and/or maintenance duties.
A golf cart is provided for use in the campground.
