One host couple cares for Storm Mountain. The group site is reservable; others are first-come-first-served. This is a very popular picnic area with locals escaping from the summer valley heat. You will open the gate in the morning and close it at night.
The host site is in a beautiful, shaded, creekside location near the gate. Big Cottonwood Creek winds its way through the sites and will lull you to sleep. You can watch mountain goats and rock climbers on the cliffs above.
There are flush toilets and drinking water is for sale to the public.
This is a watershed for Salt Lake City and pets are not allowed.
