Since the majority of our workamping jobs are in or near the mountains they are seasonal jobs; usually early-May to mid-September. However, we do have a few permits, in more temperate climates, that allow the campgrounds or day use areas to remain open year-round.
Current employees, in good standing, are our first preference for winter jobs. Sometimes more employees want the winter off than want to stay on over the winter though. So, in a few cases, we will need to hire outside the summer employee pool for winter workamping.
The number of hours for pay in the winter are, generally, much less than during the summer months. Most of our winter workamping jobs are for 10-20 hours per week per couple to share.
We will begin to post the Summer 2016 workamping job openings in November. Read more about our hiring process here: Workamping Jobs for 2015
If you'd like to do a little research in your time off, read about all our host sites under the Employment menu. Select a State, then an area listed under the map. Again, a position is not open unless it is listed on the Current Job Openings page.
