Redman Campground is a nicely wooded campground nestled between Solitude and Brighton ski resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Big Cottonwood Creek winds its way through the campground. Our hosts cannot have pets living with them in this canyon due to the protected watershed restrictions.
2 large flush restrooms and 3 smaller restrooms are in the campground. A golf cart or mule is provided for use in caring for the campground. The roads are graveled.
The small resort town of Brighton has several hiking trails, a lodge, visitor center and LDS church. Solitude has a few more summer activities, including tram rides, concerts and ice cream. Groceries, laundry, fuel and a hospital are found in the valley near the base of the canyon; about a 20 minute drive.
Guardsman Pass is a beautiful shortcut to Park City. It is a steep, gravel, road that opens after the snowmelt; usually from July to mid-September.
