1 couple or single live in and care for Big Hank Campground.  Big Hank is located in the midst of tall lodgepole pines, on the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River.  The closest place for gas, ice and basic groceries is at the junction at Prichard; about 19 miles from Big Hank Campground.  Wallace, another 17 miles away, is a large town with all the conveniences including a hospital.  A super-Walmart is in Smelterville, about 15 miles west of Wallace, Idaho.

Campers come to Big Hank to fish and hike.
