One host couple or single lives in and cares for Cool Springs Campground. from a full hookup site.  Weekly garbage service is provided in the campground.  Call to find out about satellite and cell service in the area.

Most of the physical labor in Cool Springs is during spring cleanup as there are lots of long needles from the Ponderosa Pines to remove from roads and campsites.   Cool Springs is about 3 miles, on gravel road, beyond Ponderosa Campground.

The small town of Prattville is about 8 miles down the road and Chester is another 10 minutes from there.  Susanville, about 45 minutes from Ponderosa, has a Walmart and other grocery options.

Camp Conery has sleeping cabins, a group fire ring and a large kitchen/dining area under an A-frame roof.   The A-frame building also has restrooms and showers.

The host at Camp Conery, generally, does not handle money as this is a reservation-only group camp and the Day Use areas are free.  The full hookup host site is adjacent to the A-frame.  The Camp Conery host also cares for 3 nearby Day Use areas on Lake Almanor.  Mileage is paid for travelling between sites.

Satellite reception is available from the host site and, depending on your provider, cell service is also available in the campground.
