Diamond Fork Campground in Utah is now open, not only for camping, but fishing as well! The stream and creek running through the campground are great for catching brown and cutthroat trout.
Located in the Spanish Fork Canyon, the area offers plenty of outdoor activities. The Red Ledges Picnic area is located just a mile from the campground with views of Diamond Fork Arch. Monks Hollow Trail begins 5 miles from the campground and offers hiking, biking and ATV trails. The popular Fifth Water Hot Springs, with a 2.5 mile hike offers several hot spring pools with temperatures for all weather.

You'll find a map, a list of the Forests and Ranger Districts where we manage campgrounds. Campground descriptions include links to our photos and to our Forest Service partner where you can read more about the campground and general area. We also include a link to the campground page on www.recreation.gov for reserving a campsite. Recreation.Gov often has photos on each campsite.
You may also use www.recreation.gov to search for your campground. There are many campgrounds, across the nation, with the same name. Be sure you've got the one you want before making the reservation. And confirm it when you receive your confirmation letter/email. Little can be done on the day of your arrival if your reservation is for another campground. But our hosts can help you straighten things out and possibly find you a site.
As you are looking for a campsite to reserve, for your upcoming summer vacation, try to be flexible with the site you'll accept. If you have certain requirements relative to the size, read the descriptions carefully on http://www.recreation.gov. You may reserve a campsite up to 6 months before your arrival date. Group sites may be reserved up to 1 year ahead.
Reservations typically run between mid-May through Labor Day; but that can vary by campground. When a campground is open outside the reservation period, the campsites are available for first-come-first-served customers. Even during the reservation period a portion of campsites are not reservable ahead of time. During the reservation period, if a reservable campsite is not reserved, it is available for first-come-first-served customers if you check with the on-site Host.
Generally, reservations are recommended for camping between the 4th of July and Labor Day.
If the site you want is not available, there are usually other similar sites in the same campground. You may also want to look in other, nearby, campgrounds.
Memorial Day may still be 6 weeks away but our campgrounds are getting ready for you! Kick start your summer holiday with a family camping trip. Whether you have a family spot you go to every year or you're looking for a new canyon to explore, log onto www.recreation.gov to make your summer reservations today!
Remember, reservations can be made up to six months in advance for most sites, and up to one year in advance for Group Sites. Most campgrounds must have reservations made at least 5 days in advance. Once within that window you'll be chancing getting a first come first serve site.
Here is how we know the camping season is getting closer! Our Uniform shelves are stocked and will be empty again in just a couple weeks. What signs of summer have you seen?
