California drought closes State Park

Portola Redwoods State Park is now closed to overnight camping according to KSWT News.

According to officials Peter's Creek, the park's main water supply, is too low to accommodate overnight guests.  Vicky Waters of the state's Department of Parks and Recreation said that day visitors can still use the park and campers with reservations will be given refunds.
