Greendale campsites have partial shade from a forest of ponderosa pines.  Grasses and summer wildflowers are plentiful in the campground. Temperatures vary from warm days to cool nights.  Eight single-family sites on the west side of the road which hold a maximum of 10 people each.  On the east side are two group sites for up to 40 people each.  Sites are equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills.   Vault toilets, garbage disposal and drinking water are provided.

Greendale Campground is generally open from mid-May through mid-September.  Some sites are for first-come-first-served campers.  Others, including the group sites, may be reserved at least 4 days prior to your arrival.  Check rates and availability on Recreation.gov\Greendale

Bear Canyon Trail is an easy 3-mile round-trip trail beginning a mile away, offering hiking and biking opportunities and leading to spectacular views of Red Canyon and Flaming Gorge Reservoir.  The reservoir is less than 5 miles from the campground and is well known for its world-class fishing for lake, brown and rainbow trout.  Boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving are also popular activities.  Cedar Springs Marina is 3.5 miles from the campground.
