Lost Claim Campground
Stanislaus National Forest \ Groveland Ranger District
Lost Claim is a quaint, remote, campground just off Highway 120 near the northwest border of Yosemite National Park. Campground roads are graveled. Vault toilets, drinking water, picnic tables and fire rings are provided for the 10 campsites. Lost Claim is generally open from late April through mid-September. Due to the proximity to Yosemite it is best to make a reservation. Follow this link to check rates and availability and to make your reservation at least 4 days in advance of your arrival: Recreation.gov \ Lost Claim
A short drive takes visitors to the Tuolumne Wild & Scenic River for wading and fishing. Or hike there on the gated forest route 1S23, located just west of the campground near the Buck Meadows Station. Yosemite is just 15 miles away.
Lost Claim is in the area of the Rim fire of 2013. Follow the link for current conditions in this area: Caution Burned Area
