Memorial Weekend Reservations - It's not too late!

Weekend Camping or Picnic for Memorial Day

It's not too late to make reservations!

Many families have made camping and picnicking a tradition in remembering loved ones who have gone before us.  Most campgrounds and group picnic areas require a 4-day lead time for your reservation and there are still some openings for Memorial Day and for the whole weekend!  Check campsite and group picnic site availability under the Campground menu and click on the state.  Then click on the Ranger District or general area to see a list of campgrounds and day use areas.  If the site accepts advance reservations you'll see a "Reservations" link under the description.  Follow that link to check rates and availability.

There is an flat fee for making a reservation of any length of time.  Most campgrounds also have first-come-first-served campsites and picnic sites.  These first-come-first-served sites fill up fast as people take early vacation to beat the crowds and secure their campsite or picnic table.  If you have several families that you enjoy camping with you might consider a group site.  Availability is sometimes better and the rate divided between the families is often less expensive than individual campsites.  For future reference, group sites can be reserved up to a year in advance!
