Hoop Lake Campground

Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest / Mountain View-Evanston Ranger District

This high elevation campground, 9000', is in the north east corner of the state of Utah, between Flaming Gorge and Evanston, Wyoming.  44 campsites are set on this beautiful mountain lake among deer, elk, moose, beaver and a wide variety of birds.  All sites are first-come-first-served only.  Sites have plenty of room for your RV or tent.

Campers are drawn to the area to boat and fish in the lake and to hike or horseback ride on the many trails.  Hoop Lake Trailhead has a stock loading ramp, corral and also has 5 campsites.  Head south to access the High Uintas Wilderness area.  Unrestricted trails also meander east, north and west into BLM and state lands.  Travelling to the nearby Hole in the Rock is also a popular activity.  More fishing and trails are available at the nearby Beaver Meadow Reservoir.
