Peterson Bridge Campground is on a quiet stretch of the Pine River near Hwy 37 east of Wellston, MI.  The Pine River is famous for 67 miles of navigable spring water varying from rapids to quiet flow.  Peterson Bridge provides the ideal place as a base camp, or as a stop along your multi-day paddle-tour, of Michigan's upper peninsula.  Find more information on paddling the Pine River here:  Pine River Information

Peterson Bridge is no longer available for winter camping.  A gate was installed to be locked over the winter months.  The campground is generally open from the 2nd week in May through mid-September.  10 boat-in campsites are available for first-come-first-served tent camping.  20 additional campsites are available for drive-in campers with room for your RV.  No electrical hookups are provided.  10 campsites may be reserved up to 6 months and at least 4 days in advance of your arrival.  Make your reservations here:  Recreation.gov
