The guard station at Summit Springs consists of a bunkhouse, cabin and space for 4 RV/trailers or tents to accommodate up to 40 people.  This historic complex was built by the CCC in 1931 and renovated in 2014.  The bunkhouse sleeps 12 and the cabin sleeps 8; all are bunkbeds.  Propane is provided for the fridge, stove, water heater, and heater.  Limited electricity is available for lighting only.  It is generally open from mid-May through mid-September.  Make your reservations up to 1 year in advance through Recreation.gov.

Summit Springs is located on the beautiful Sheep Creek Loop; a designated Scenic Backway and Geological Loop with 10 miles of intriguing geological features.  The town of Manila is about 15 miles away, off the north end of Sheep Creek Loop where visitors can find grocery stores and other amenities.  Flaming Gorge dam is about 23 miles east of the complex.
