Willamette National Forest \ Detroit Ranger District
Breitenbush Campground lies about 10 miles north of Detroit Lake on Forest Road 46 near Breitenbush Hot Springs. A peaceful flow of the Breitenbush River provides a calming background noise for camping and easy access for fishing for rainbow trout. Campers enjoy wading from the many campsites along the shoreline. This off-the-beaten-path campground will immerse you in nature. Lush foliage separates roomy campsites under a canopy of moss-covered trees. Many trails are available for casual to more serious hikers. Check out the Jefferson Park Trail Area in the Mt Jefferson Wilderness.
The campground is generally open from the 3rd week in May through the 3rd week in September. 18 of the 30 campsites may be reserved at least 4 days in advance and up to 6 months before your arrival. Others are first-come-first-served. Check Recreation.gov for rates and availability.
