This pretty little campground lies on the banks of Hobble Creek at 6,000' elevation.  Just 12 miles from Springville, UT, campers enjoy fishing, hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.  Balsam provides a more primitive camping experience as there is no drinking water or garbage containers for disposal in the campground.  Bring your own water and garbage bags and pack it out.

Balsam Campground is generally open from early-May through the Labor Day Weekend.  There are 24 single sites to accommodate up to 8 people.  A large family site holds up to 24 people and a large group site accommodates up to 100 people.  Some sites are for first-come-first-served campers others may be reserved at least 5 days in advance of your arrival from Recreation.gov.  The 100-person group site may be reserved up to 1 year in advance.

The Hobble Creek Half Marathon begins at Balsam's group site on the 3rd Saturday in August.  Several thousand runners will be in the campground and vicinity for a short period of time.
