East Park Campground
Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest / Flaming Gorge Ranger District
East Park Reservoir is a local favorite for fishing and camping about 32 miles north of Vernal, UT. At 9000' elevation, the 132 acre lake is surrounded by lodgepole pine and wet meadows. Fishing for rainbow trout from shore, canoe or a float tube are productive. A trailhead at the north end of the lake leads east to US 191, and the trailhead at the south end leads west to Oaks Park Lake.
Anglers and visitors at the reservoir have a good chance of seeing elk, deer, small mammals and birds. The area is also a fantastic waterfowl hunting area.
The campground has 21 campsites on the shore of the reservoir. One host couple lives in and cares for the grounds and vault restrooms. The host site provides drinking water. No other utilities are available. Maximum RV length is limited to 25 ft.
