Yellow Pine Campground
Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest \ Kamas Ranger District
Yellow Pine Campground is the first campground as you head up the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway from Kamas, Utah. All 33 campsites are first-come-first-served. This is not the same campground as the Yellowpine on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains near Rock Creek.
Turn east onto UT 150 in Kamas and drive about 6.5 to 7 miles to find Yellow Pine Campground on the left side of the highway. Campsites each have a picnic table and fire ring. There is no piped water in the campground but a vault toilet and trash receptacle is provided.
Yellow Pine is generally open from late May through the end of the deer hunt in the fall. Campers enjoy hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding the nearby Yellowpine Creek Trail. ATV's are prohibited.
