Gleasons Landing Campground
Huron-Manistee National Forest / Baldwin-White Cloud Ranger District
Gleasons Landing is a tiny little campground right on the Pere Marquette River, just west of Baldwin, MI. There are 5 family campsites for up to 8 people each and 2 group campsites that can accommodate up to 20 people. Gleasons Landing is a tent-only campground. Situated on a bluff overlooking the Pere Marquette River campsites are shaded by a mix of white pine and oak trees. A common parking area is provided. See a campground map in the gallery below.
Kayakers, canoeists and fishing enthusiasts are drawn to Gleasons Landing for the easy access to the Pere Marquette River. Fly-fishing and catch-and-release-only zones begin at the campground. Reel fishing is available upstream. Campers enjoy fishing for the resident brown trout, steelhead and salmon. A shoreline trail provides access to shore fishing and hiking.
Gleasons Landing opens in early May and closes in mid-October. Camping reservations may be made up to 6 months in advance of your arrival.
A picnic area and boat landing are also onsite with a common parking area.
