Free Fishing Days for National Fishing and Boating Week

National Fishing and Boating Week

June 4-12, 2016

The first week of June every year is National Fishing and Boating Week.  This national celebration of fishing and boating highlights the importance of recreational boating and fishing in enhancing our quality of life and preserving our country's natural beauty.

Most states offer their Free Fishing Days during this week.  It's the perfect time for beginners to learn fishing skills and try fishing for the first time as all anglers are allowed to fish on public bodies of water without a fishing license.  While you may fish without a license on specific days in your state, all other regulations apply.

Many of our campgrounds are on great fishing rivers and lakes.  De-stress, connect with nature and conserve:  "The funds from your fishing licenses and boat registrations go towards the conservation of our natural aquatic areas,"  takemefishing.org
