Capps Crossing, located on the North Fork of the Cosumnes River near Pollock Pines, is perfect for your active medium-sized group.  This group camp can accommodate up to 60 people.  A double family site, to hold up to 12 people, may also be reserved.  If sites are not reserved, first-come-first-served campers may camp for the fee posted in the campground.  In 2015 the single campsite rate for up to 6 people is $20.  The double site rate for up to 12 people is $40.  Check with the campground host before setting up to be aware of upcoming reservations.  Availability and directions are found here:  Recreation.gov\Capps Crossing

Hiking trails and rock climbing areas are nearby.  The babbling stream adds soothing background noise and the smell of conifers will have you breathing deep and slow as you relax by the campfire.  Wading, fishing, swimming and even gold panning are enjoyed by campers.

Capps Crossing has picnic tables, drinking water, campfire rings, garbage receptacles and accessible vault toilets.  The group site has a kitchen area.
